TeleScript – Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how personal data may be processed in connection with the mobile application TeleScript (the “App”). TeleScript is designed as an offline teleprompter and video recording tool: your scripts and recordings are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to our own servers.

By installing and using the App, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not install or use the App.

1. Data Controller

We have not appointed a separate Data Protection Officer, as this is not required for our current activities.

2. What TeleScript does (offline processing)

TeleScript is a teleprompter-style recording app that allows you to:

• write or paste scripts and display them on screen as a teleprompter;
• record video with your device’s camera and microphone while the script scrolls;
• adjust the scrolling speed and text size of the teleprompter;
• optionally use speech recognition (where available) to convert your voice into text for scripts;
• save recordings on your device (for example, to your device’s gallery);
• share recordings using your device’s share options (e.g. email or messaging apps);
• unlock additional Premium features via a paid subscription.

The App is designed to run entirely on your device. We do not operate a backend server for the App, and we do not remotely access the content of your scripts or recordings.

3. Data handled by the App

3.1 Scripts and video/audio recordings on your device

When you create or edit a script, the App stores that text locally on your device so you can use it later as a teleprompter. When you record a video, the App uses your device’s camera and microphone to create a recording on your device.

Your scripts and recordings may contain personal data (for example your image, voice or other information you choose to include). This content stays on your device. It is not sent to Pandabit servers, because we do not operate any servers for this App.

3.2 Temporary files and cache

To work correctly, the App may create temporary files or cached data on your device, for example to display text smoothly or to manage recorded video files. These temporary files are stored locally and may be deleted automatically by the App or by your operating system.

3.3 Subscription status (Premium)

The App offers Premium features that can be unlocked via a subscription purchased through the app store (for example Google Play Billing and/or the Apple App Store). Payment processing (including your payment card details) is performed by the store provider, under its own terms and privacy policy.

The App only receives limited information from the store provider, such as:

• whether a certain subscription product is active or expired;
• which product was purchased (e.g. monthly Premium);
• basic transaction status needed to enable Premium features on your device.

This information is stored locally on your device to control access to Premium features. We do not send this purchase information from the App to our own servers.

3.4 Speech recognition (voice-to-text)

TeleScript may offer an optional voice-to-text feature to turn your speech into text for scripts. This feature uses speech recognition services provided by your device’s operating system or other third-party providers (for example Apple or Google).

In order to use this feature, your audio may be processed by those providers in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms. We do not receive or store your raw audio on our servers. The resulting text is stored locally as part of your script.

3.5 Support and communication

If you contact us by email (for example for support or feedback), we will process the data you provide (such as your name, email address and the content of your message) in order to answer your request and, where necessary, keep records of our communication.

4. What we do NOT collect or do

In connection with TeleScript, we do not:

• run a cloud service that stores your scripts or recordings;
• upload your scripts or video/audio recordings to our servers;
• use analytics SDKs (such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, etc.);
• use crash reporting services that send your content to third-party servers;
• show advertising or use advertising identifiers for tracking;
• sell or rent any personal data to third parties.

Scripts and recordings only leave your device if you actively choose to share them using your device’s share functionality (for example by sending a video via email or a messaging app). In such cases, the chosen third-party service (email provider, messaging service, social network, etc.) will process the data under its own terms and privacy policy.

5. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)

For data processing that is under our control (for example support emails and any purchase information we may access), we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR:

• Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract: to provide you with the App and respond to your requests related to the App.
• Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interests: to ensure the proper functioning and security of the App, to prevent abuse of Premium features, and to handle or defend legal claims. When we rely on our legitimate interests, we balance them against your rights and expectations.
• Article 6(1)(c) GDPR – legal obligations: where we must keep certain data to comply with legal obligations (for example accounting rules).

For purely local processing of your scripts and recordings on your own device, we generally do not act as a “controller” in the sense of the GDPR, because we cannot access this data ourselves.

6. Recipients and third parties

In connection with the App, data may be processed by the following independent controllers:

• App store providers (e.g. Google, Apple) – for distributing the App, processing your purchases, handling your account and subscriptions, and preventing fraud. They process this data under their own Terms of Service and Privacy Policies.
• Speech recognition providers – such as Apple or Google when you use voice-to-text. Your audio may be processed under their own terms and privacy policies.
• Other apps and services you choose – such as email apps, messaging apps or social networks when you decide to share a recording or script.
• Our hosting and email providers – when you visit our website or contact us by email.
• Public authorities and legal advisors – if required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

We do not give third parties access to the content of your scripts or recordings, except when you explicitly choose to share them or where we are legally obliged to do so.

7. International data transfers

Some of the above-mentioned providers (for example app store operators or hosting providers) may be located outside the European Economic Area (EEA). In such cases, data transfers may be based on appropriate safeguards under the GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

8. Data retention

• Scripts and recordings on your device: text and video/audio files remain on your device or storage locations that you choose. You can delete them at any time.
• Temporary files: cache and temporary files created by the App are kept only for as long as needed for the relevant function and may be removed automatically.
• Purchase / subscription information: is primarily stored and retained by the app store provider, according to its own policies and legal obligations.
• Support communication: emails and messages are retained for as long as necessary to respond to your request and for a reasonable period afterwards, for example to keep evidence of how we resolved an issue.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data that we process (for example access controls to our email accounts and hosting). However, no software or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for keeping your device secure and controlling which scripts and recordings you store, share or delete from the App.

10. Your rights under GDPR

Subject to the conditions and exceptions under applicable law, you may have the following rights:

• right of access to personal data we process about you;
• right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
• right to erasure in certain situations (“right to be forgotten”);
• right to restriction of processing in certain cases;
• right to data portability for data you have provided to us;
• right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
• where processing is based on consent – right to withdraw your consent at any time.

Because the App is offline and data is stored on your device, you can exercise many rights directly by:

• deleting scripts and recordings from your device;
• clearing the App’s data in your device settings;
• revoking permissions (such as camera, microphone or storage access) in your device settings;
• uninstalling the App.

For data that we control (for example support emails), you can exercise your rights by contacting us at info@pandabit.si. We may ask you for information necessary to confirm your identity. We will respond within the time limits set by applicable law.

11. Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe that your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Slovenia, this is:

12. Children

The App is intended for general use by adults and is not specifically directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe that we have unintentionally received personal data about a child, please contact us so we can delete it.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add new features or if legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last revised.

If we make material changes, we may inform you through the app store listing, within the App or by other appropriate means.
